Episode 50: Save Your Life by Helping Others
Would you give away everything you own, pack the trunk of your car and drive 2200 miles to a place where you know no one? Empowerment Expert, Cyrus Harper, drove to Los Angeles and was homeless - sleeping in his car - because he believed he was called to do something great. Growing up surrounded by drugs and turmoil, he recognized the pain that people hide from the outside world. Cyrus has spent nearly 20 years helping himself by helping others. Through his work with the Boys and Girls Club and beyond, he has devoted himself to helping others eliminate destructive behavior.
In this episode, we discuss:
- Living as a homeless person in Los Angeles
- Giving away all his belongings
- Joining Toastmasters in Beverly Hills without anyone knowing he slept in his car every night
- Working in alignment with your highest calling
I also share my thoughts on the deaths of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain and my recent Facebook post to you about suicide and death.
